The University of Calgary Master of Public Policy (MPP) program is a 1-year, integrated program that provides students with foundational understanding of policy development, analysis and implementation. Taught by faculty who are leading the policy conversation in their area of expertise, courses are designed to develop students’ skills through application to real-world problems.
Comprised of eight core courses, two elective courses and an independent capstone paper, the MPP curriculum allows students to develop a broad knowledge base, deepen their expertise in areas and hone skills.
The faculty who teach in the MPP program are leading experts in their field of study. They are frequently called on by governments, think tanks and the media to share their expertise on current policy problems.
