Expand Your Impact with a Combined Degree
Students in the Master of Public Policy program have the option to broaden their expertise and career opportunities through a combined degree with either a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctor (JD). These pathways allow students to develop a deeper understanding of business or law while gaining the policy insight needed to lead in complex, multi-sector environments.
By integrating disciplines, students strengthen their ability to influence decision-making across industries, government, and the non-profit sector. Graduates emerge with a powerful combination of analytical, strategic, and leadership skills to drive meaningful change.

JD/MPP: Law and Policy
Offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, the MPP/JD (Juris Doctor) program equips students with legal training and public policy expertise. Over 3.5 years, students engage with topics including resources and the environment, economic and social issues, international policy, taxation, regulation, and public finance. Graduates are prepared to lead in settings where coordinated legal and policy knowledge is essential for success.
To pursue the JD/MPP, applicants must apply separately to both the Faculty of Law and the School of Public Policy. Admission to one does not guarantee admission to the other; students must meet the requirements and be accepted into both programs to enroll in the combined degree.
If you have questions about the JD program or its admission requirements, please contact a program advisor at the Faculty of Law for guidance and support.

MPP/MBA: Policy and Business

Over three years, students build core competencies in economics, finance, and leadership while developing the skills to design and implement effective public policy. Graduates are prepared for cross-sector leadership roles at the intersection of policy and business.
